15 Sublime Moments From 15 Years Of Sublime Science

Can You Believe it? 15 Years of Sublime Science!

If Sublime Science were a child then we would now be gearing up to take our GCSEs. I don't want to sound cocky but I'd like to think we could get a pretty decent grade in our science GCSE!

More seriously, it's absolutely wild to me how far Sublime Science has come in the past 15 years. A huge thank you to everyone who's been part of it. We appreciate you. YOU are awesome.

To celebrate such an awesome achievement I'd like to share 15 of the most Sublime moments from the past 15 years...

1. Inspiring Over 1,000,000 Children - (to discover just how awesome science can be!) - It's hard to believe that this dream became a reality. It's been an honour to make so much slime and launch so many rockets!

2. Winning Dragons Den - Mad Marc might well have been the most nervous he's ever been in his life. But he walked out wearing a slime-covered lab coat, fired some smoke rings and went on to bag two awesome Dragons. You can see the complete pitch on Dragons' Den YouTube channel.

3. Winning a Queen's Award - Can't believe I'm even typing this but Sublime Science won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation. What a way to have our efforts in educating children recognised by the most famous business award in the world.

4. Winning a Netmums Award - The Sublime Science Party is where it all started at Sublime Science and to have our party recognised by the institution that is, Netmums was a real treat.

5. Mad Marc meeting Her Majesty The Queen - The Queen was such an inspiration to us all. Mad Marc first got the chance to meet her through The Prince's Trust and later at Buckingham Palace after winning the Queen's Award.

6. Mad Marc meeting His Majesty The King - It's been a whirlwind at Sublime Science but Mad Marc also had the huge honour of meeting King Charles through his support of the Prince's Trust organisation.

7. Getting our 5,000+ Rave Reviews - The thing that matters most is what our (awesome!) customers have to say. We've had too many reviews to count over the years but getting our 5,000th one was a real milestone and a really special moment for the whole Sublime Science Team.

8. Being Featured on Dragons Den Follow-Up Success Show - After the success of Dragons Den the film crew came back and caught up with all the wild things that had happened since. So grateful for the platform that Dragons' Den provided to keep inspiring kids.

9. Appearing on ITV This Morning - Got to share some fun science experiments with the nation on ITV This Morning. What a cool way to share quick fun experiments kids can do with stuff that they've already got.

10. Getting Slime Featured in Forbes - This must be the only time that Slime has been featured in Forbes! Mad Marc was also labelled a "visionary" which was humbling but also awesome experience.

11. Giving A TEDx Talk - Mad Marc Wileman was invited to do his very own TEDx Talk. Of course, there were bubbling concoctions but there was also some a few tips on how people could practically make their dent in the universe. The feedback from this was utterly incredible.

12. Giving A Commencement Address - After being recognised by Nottingham University with an Alumni Laureate award. Mad Marc always loved watching commencement addresses but never thought he'd actually give one. Absolute honour and privilege.

13. Publishing 'Don't Eat Your Slime' - The book that I wish had been available when I was a kid. Packed full of awesome experiments you can do at home with "stuff" you've already got. Grab a free copy here!

14. Publishing 'The Most Incredible Science Experiment Book Ever' - It's definitely not the most humbly titled science experiment book ever! But children absolutely love it and we've sold 100,000's of copies over the years.

15. Invited to 10 Downing Street - Getting to walk through that most famous of doors. What a treat to enter into number 10 and have the awesome work that Sublime Science does recognised. Not only that but Sublime Science have been invited to the Lords, and the Commons too. As well as Buckingham Palace. I'm not even joking.

Thank YOU much for all of your support along the way. We couldn't have done it without you.

Here's to the next 15 years.

Stay awesome,

Mad Marc

& The Sublime Science Team
